  • Infrastructure System Specialist (San Donato Milanese – Milan – Italy)
  • Job Responsibilities:

    1. Local Infrastructure Management (Servers, Network Switches, NAS, Firewalls), monitoring and tuning

    Job Requirements:

    1. Hands on experience with laptops, workstations, peripherals, and mobile devices (Android, iOS)

    2. Windows 7/10, Active Directory, Office 365 suite, Client VPN (DirectAccess, FortiClient)

    3. Windows Servers (OS Win 2008/2016/2019/Linux), Cisco switches, Wi-Fi, firewalls (Fortigate)

    4. Data centre/server room management, and infrastructure troubleshooting

    5. VMWare virtualization infrastructure knowledge

    6. Knowledge of backup solutions (Veeam)

    7. Basic knowledge of networking: TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewalling

    8. 5 years of relevant experience in similar position will be preferred

    Job Responsibilities:
    1. The NPI Test Engineer leads the deployment of automated test solution for in-line and final test manufacturing of new photonic Lithium Niobate devices. This resources will be early involved in the development phase to ensure smooth transition of new product test procedures and benches from R&D to Operations
    2. To work together with the R&D, Operations, and Engineering teams, applying DFT concepts to drive logical and cost-effective testing strategies within all NPI projects, with particular focus on high frequency electro-optical modulators
    3. To be responsible for the optimization of SW and HW of test benches, starting form generic test solutions developed by R&D; to be in charge of automated test equipment procurement and release to production
    4. To determine the electro-optical test flow and pass-fail criteria to ensure high yields and the required test cycle times
    5. To create, update and release documentation to Production, including work instructions, equipment operating procedures, process KPI documentation, etc
    6. To provide technical support and training to Operations

    Job Requirements:
    1. Master’s degree in Optics, Electronics, Material Science, Physics or equivalent technical discipline
    2. Hands on experience with automated test equipment for high frequency photonic or microelectronic devices
    3. Strong knowledge of DC and RF electrical testing at wafer, chip, and module level. Knowledge of fiber alignment systems and active alignment techniques is recommended
    4. 5+ year experience as New Product Introduction Engineer in photonics, microelectronics, or similar industry Proven track record of NPI projects with effective results
    5. Knowledge of Python, Labview and Teststand is required. Experience working with SQL and NoSQL DBs

    Job Responsibilities:
    1. To schedule and execute the end-to-end assembling and manufacturing line of photonic Lithium Niobate devices. This role starts from the R&D process concepts and prototypes, through the deployment of manufacturing equipment, up to the completion of ramp-up qualifications. To work together with the R&D and Operations Engineering teams, being involved in the industrialization of new photonic devices, applying DFM concepts for high production volumes
    2. To identify BE manufacturing requirements and define process and equipment specifications, being responsible for the procurement, installation, and commissioning of electrical and passive/active optical assembling processes in the production line
    3. Targeting mass production goals, setting up mechanical and optical packaging processes such as wire-bonding, die bonding, flip-chip assembling, passive alignment of optical components, fiber optic active alignment, etc. on existing semi-automated workstations or new fully automated machines
    4. To create, update and release documentation to Operations, including work instructions, equipment operating procedures, process KPI documentation, etc
    5. During the introduction phase of new products, to work closely with the design and process engineering teams to identify and troubleshoot process and manufacturing issues

    Job Requirements:
    1. Master’s degree in Optics, Electronics, Material Science or equivalent technical discipline
    2. Hands on experience with backend automated equipment and technologies for photonics or microelectronics
    3. Strong knowledge of backend processes, such as wire bonding and die attach by soldering, gluing, thermal curing, UV curing, etc. Knowledge of fiber alignment systems and active alignment techniques is highly recommended
    4. 5+ year experience as NPI Engineer in photonics, microelectronics, or similar industry
    5. Deep understanding of cleanroom protocol and working with hazardous chemicals and proper safety

  • Test Automation Engineer (San Donato Milanese – Milan – Italy)
  • Job Responsibilities:

    1. Within new product introduction activities, design and implement tests solutions and benches that confirm the quality and functionality of products, develop automated systems to make tests reusable

    2. Working with R&D team ideate and assembly new product test benches, defining requirements and writing the SW to manage the instruments, store data in corporate database and analyze the acquired information, harmonizing the adopted solution with existing ones

    3. Participate in all phases of products’ testing, from determining the exact procedure to troubleshooting errors and communicating recommendations for improvement

    4. Manage the software development lifecycle

    5. Release new test benches in manufacturing, work with the team to set Gage R&R and periodic golden samples verification procedures

    6. Improve and enhance existing test solutions by reducing test time, performing yield analysis and minimizing retests, exploring and implementing new ways to automate systems

    7. Provide technical support to other teams and work cross-functionally and with external suppliers to develop ideas for new manufacturing benches setup. As mechatronics and automation engineer will apply skills in modelling, real-time computer interfacing, sensors, controllers, and actuators to improve automation in manufacturing processes, increasing efficiency while still maintaining product quality and adhering to internal protocols and external regulations

    8. Develop and write operative procedures for products’ testing in manufacturing, perform and certify the operators’ training

    9. Ensure equipment conformity to industry-based compliance requirements, such as those from the ISO (International Organization Standardization) mostly concerning calibration and enforcing safety measures

    10. May be involved in specifications discussions with customers as field application engineer

    11. May be required to create mechanical designs for assemblies, parts, jigs or finished products


    Job Requirements:

    1. Bachelor Degree (or higher) in Optics, Electronics, Mechatronic, Automation, Mechanical, Computer Science, Software Engineering, telecommunication or equivalent technical discipline

    2. 5 years+ of working experience in manufacturing or a related industry

    3. Experience with software engineering and test design architecture

    4. Extensive knowledge and experience working with various operating systems and backend programming: LabView, Python e Teststand software expert

    5. Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases

    6. Knowledge of basic six sigma / lean manufacturing concepts like capability studies and SPC

    7. Experience with robotics, AI and machine learning is a plus

    8. Experience with the design and implementation of automated systems, especially as related to manufacturing

    9. Ability to work effectively in an international team environment and interact with all function and levels, communication, problem solving and creativity skills
