AFR is expanding its photonics business by establishing a new R&D center in San Donato Milanese.
We are now looking for an expert Project Manager to join our growing development team. You will report to the R&D Director and have the opportunity to work with skillful and highly motivated engineers developing thin film Lithium Niobate products for telecom, sensing and quantum photonics applications.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Define and execute project development plans
2. Coordinate and track cross-functional activities to drive development from concept to product release
3. On-time execution of development projects to support AFR product roadmap
4. Effectively communicate with design, engineering, manufacturing, testing, and operations teams
5. Proactively manage priority conflicts and changes in project targets by proposing viable solutions and alternative paths
6. Provide regular update to management
7. Contribute to define and maintain an effective stage and gate product development process
8. Perform under limited supervision
Job Requirements:
1. Master Degree in Optics, Electronics, Physics, Telecommunication or equivalent technical discipline. PhD preferred
2. 5 years+ of working experience in similar role in related industry
3. Experienced with structured product development process
4. Knowledgeable about FMEA, problem solving techniques, risk analysis, change control processes
5. Proficient with Microsoft Office applications and project management tools
6. Experienced in designing of photonic devices preferred
7. Ability to work effectively in an international team environment and interact with all function and levels
8. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Team oriented approach
9. High motivation and strong desire to succeed
10. Fluent in English
