AFR is expanding its photonics R&D center in San Donato Milanese. We are now looking for a Reliability Engineer to join our growing development team. You will be responsible to ensure the reliability of photonic products to meet our telecom, sensing and quantum photonics customer requirements. You will have the opportunity to work with skillful and highly motivated engineers.
Location: San Donato Milanese – Milan – Italy
Job Responsibilities (included but not limited to):
1. To define the qualification plan and stress test conditions for photonic components
2. To implement new products reliability evaluations
3. Reliability modeling and prediction
4. Stress test data analysis
5. Contribute to setup reliability test benches
6. Manage reliability issues with customers and suppliers
7. Ensure troubleshooting capabilities and root cause analysis
8. Contribute defining the Design for Reliability rules
Job Requirements:
1. Major degree in an Engineering discipline (Electronic, Material, Physics)
2. 5+ years experience in related field and photonic industry
3. Hands on experience with laboratory equipment, data acquisition and data analysis
4. Knowledge of reliability models and related statistical methods
5. Knowledge of reliability mechanisms for electronics/ semiconductors /photonics
6. Understanding of photonics and opto-electronic devices
7. Hands on experience with SEM / EDX is a plus
8. Familiarity with wafer fab processes and manufacturing is a plus
