Job Responsibilities:
Develop and optimize Thin Film Lithium Niobate (TFLN) manufacturing processes according to R&D and product development requirements, with particular focus on thin film deposition, vacuum technologies, and dry/plasma etching.
Lead process industrialization activities and support the transfer of developed processes from R&D into manufacturing, both internally and at qualified external foundry partners.
Act as technical interface between internal teams and external manufacturing partners, ensuring process specifications, performance targets, and quality requirements are correctly implemented and maintained.
Monitor process performance across internal and external production sites, identifying opportunities for yield improvement, cycle time reduction, and cost optimization.
Investigate process and product issues through structured root-cause analysis and corrective actions, coordinating activities with production engineering, quality, and external partners.
Establish and maintain Statistical Process Control (SPC) methodologies and process monitoring systems to improve process capability, yield, and manufacturing robustness.
Collaborate with equipment engineering, maintenance teams, and external suppliers on process-related equipment upgrades, qualification, and calibration activities.
Work closely with EHS representatives to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
Ensure process documentation, specifications, work instructions, qualification reports, and change management records are properly maintained and controlled.
Deliver technical training and knowledge transfer to manufacturing personnel and external partners when required
Job Requirements:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Materials Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Physics, Chemistry, or related disciplines
3+ years of experience in semiconductor, MEMS, nanotechnology, or advanced manufacturing environments (experience level may be adjusted according to organizational needs)
Experience with thin film deposition, vacuum processes, plasma processing, dry etching, or related wafer fabrication technologies
Experience in process development, process qualification, and manufacturing industrialization
Experience supporting technology transfer, subcontract manufacturing, foundry operations, or supplier qualification is highly desirable
Strong understanding of statistical process control, process capability analysis, DOE, FMEA, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement methodologies
Ability to analyze manufacturing data and drive data-based decision making
Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate activities across multidisciplinary teams and external organizations
Strong project management and stakeholder management capabilities
Fluent English, written and spoken
Availability for international travel to customer, supplier, and foundry sites
Knowledge of statistical software, data analysis tools, Python, LabVIEW, JMP, Minitab, or similar tools is considered a plus

Job Responsibilities:
Carry out the activities required at AFR Milan in the role of Health and Safety Prevention and Protection Service Officer (ASPP), collaborating with the Health and Safety Prevention and Protection Service Manager (RSPP).
Collaborate in risk assessment activities and in updating the Risk Assessment Document (DVR).
PPE management: assess requirements and support the selection and proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Support the updating, implementation, and management of the waste disposal process.
Participate in the definition, implementation, and monitoring of health, safety, and environmental procedures; coordinate periodic inspections within departments to monitor operating conditions, equipment, machinery, and PPE.
Coordinate and support the organization of training and awareness activities for employees regarding occupational health, safety, and environmental matters, and monitor related deadlines and renewals.
Collaborate with company departments to ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations; verify suppliers and contractors through the collection and review of required documentation (e.g., DURC, technical-professional suitability certificates, POS, DUVRI).
Monitor and manage reports of near misses, incidents, workplace accidents, and occupational illnesses, proposing corrective actions where necessary.
Support internal and external audits related to health, safety, and environmental matters.
Maintain up-to-date documentation and legally required records (e.g., Fire Safety Register); draft and update production and maintenance procedures and work instructions.
Job Requirements:
Technical diploma or degree in an engineering or technical discipline
Qualification as a Prevention and Protection Service Officer (ASPP) in accordance with Legislative Decree 81/08 and subsequent amendments
Previous experience in a similar role (preferred)
Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations
Strong communication skills
Accuracy, attention to detail, and a problem-solving mindset
Good command of the English language

Oversee the R&D process design and optimization of optical passive components (e.g., FAU, circulator and isolator), and develop detailed process plans and procedures to ensure the smooth progression of product R&D
Conduct in-depth research on the production processes of optical passive components, troubleshoot technical issues during the R&D phase, and enhance product performance and reliability
Participate in new product R&D projects, provide professional support from a process perspective, and assist in completing product design, testing, and verification
Compile and refine process documents, including process regulations and work instructions, to standardize production processes
Collaborate closely with the production department to translate R&D process plans into practical production processes, guide production personnel in operations, and ensure the quality of mass-produced products
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree or above in Optics, Physics, or other related majors
At least 3 years of working experience in optical communication companies, with a track record of participating in and completing passive component R&D projects (e.g., FAU, circulator, isolator)
Strong hands-on skills, proficient in operating various equipment and instruments related to the R&D and testing of optical passive components
Familiar with standards such as 6 Sigma and GR-1209/1221, and possess solid professional knowledge of R&D processes for optical passive components
Excellent problem-analysis and problem-solving abilities, along with strong teamwork and communication skills
