| Chief Executive Officer and Director of the Board: X.L. Wang, Ph. D |

| Dr. Wang has a successful track record in fiber optic industry in the past decade. Prior to AFR, Dr.
Wang was the General Manager of Telesis Technologies in China. Before that, Dr. Wang was the
Corporate Vice President of Oplink Communications (NASDAQ: OPLK) and General Manager of the
China operations. Prior to Oplink, Dr. Wang was the Director of New Product Introduction and
Director of Operations at JDS Uniphase (NASDAQ: JDSU), a Milpitas, California-based company. |

| He managed various products, including interleaver, wavelength locker, integrated power monitoring
devices, high power and free space isolator, proprietary compact and PM circulator, PM combiner
and other PM products. |

| Prior to his industrial experience, Dr. Wang was a Visiting Researcher at NEC Opto-Electronics
Research Lab in Tsukuba, Japan and Associate Professor in Tianjin University, China. |

| Dr. Wang received his Bachelor, Master, and PhD degrees in Laser Engineering in Tianjing
University, China. Dr. Wang published 20 technical papers in lasers and held one US patent in fiber
optics. |

| Vice President of Engineering: Guojiang Hu, Ph.D |
| Prior to joining AFR, Dr. Hu was Director of New Product Introduction of Optoplex, a Fremont,
California-based company. Before that, Dr. Hu was Vice President of Engineering at Oplink
Communications (NASDAQ: OPLK), a Fremont, California-based leading fiber optic company. Prior
to Oplink, Dr. Hu held various engineering management positions with JDSU/E-Tek Dynamics Inc. |

| Dr. Hu designed the first high power version isolator and co-designed the first circulator at Kaifa
Technology, a Sunnyvale, California-based fiber optic company, over eleven and a half years ago.
Most recently, he developed DPSK demodulator based on Michaelson interferometer and 90 degree
hybrid (mixer) for coherent detector when he worked for Optoplex. |

| Mr. Hu received his PhD degree in Laser Engineering in Tianjin University, China, and RTM, Turin,
Italy. Dr. Hu translated Prof. GP Agarawal’s Nonlinear Fiber Optics into Chinese, and it has become
one of the most important textbooks in China for nonlinear optics. Dr. Hu published more than 10
papers in technical journals. |

| Vice President of Operations: Mr. Leo Ye |
| Mr. Ye joins AFR from Finisar (NASDAQ: FNSR), where he was Director of Manufacturing and
Operations Logistics for its subsidiary in Shanghai. Prior to Finisar, he was Logistics Director and
ISO14001 Representative for Oplink (NASDAQ: OPLK). Previously, he held various positions in
product manufacturing and as a New Product Introduction Manager at JDSU (NASDAQ: JDSU). He
designed and developed new generation fiber optics circulator, one of most complicated passive
fiber optics devices, at JDSU. Mr. Ye's extensive experience covers whole operation area,
including manufacturing, supply chain management, equipments and facility. |

Mr. Ye received his BS degree in Physics in Nanjing University, China, and attended several MS
degree programs in Physics and Business Management in China and Canada.
